All-on-4 Dental Implants
The All-on-4 technique uses just four metal posts to support a full denture. Two are placed at an angle in the jawbone, maximizing tissue and meaning even patients with bone loss can often skip preparatory bone grafting.
All-on-X Dental Implants
Similar to All-on-4 implants, the All-on-X technique relies on a smaller number of posts than dentists traditionally needed to use for dentures. The method will be customized for your needs.
Traditional Dental Implants
In some cases, Dr. Oka will determine a traditional implant technique will provide you with the most stable denture. You may first require bone grafting to strengthen the jawbone.

You might be surprised to learn you don't need full mouth dental implants. Dr. Oka will always try to save damaged or infected teeth, and he's extensively trained in several areas to achieve this goal. Root canal therapy, for example, can restore health to infected teeth. While we offer a comprehensive range of dental services at our Kailua-Kona office, we also work with trusted local specialists if it's in your best interests.
Does Insurance Cover Full Mouth Dental Implants?
Dental implants themselves are not covered by insurance. That said, our patients unanimously agree the benefits they provide for your jaw and bone health, nutrition and diet, and overall health are well worth the cost of implants. Imagine smiling with confidence, knowing your denture will never slip out of place, and knowing you've made the choice to prioritize your well-being.
So what about the denture? Although implant dentures are often covered at least partially by insurance, Dr. Oka found that working closely with insurance providers limited the quality of care we think our patients deserve. Though we're no longer in-network with any dental insurance companies, we're happy to help you file for reimbursement.
